The 2-Hour Camp Hale Snowmobile Tour is one of the most scenic and family-friendly snowmobile tours available in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Departing from a private lodge at historic Camp Hale, riders embark on a guided 2-hour journey through a beautiful forested trail system in the heart of the White River National Forest, ascending to elevations of 10,500 feet with stunning vistas of several distinct Colorado mountain ranges.
Perfect for snowmobilers of any age — from two years old and up — the Camp Hale Tour offers a relaxed and enjoyable Beaver Creek snowmobiling experience that the whole family can share. Whether you’re introducing young children to the magic of Colorado’s winter backcountry or simply prefer a more scenic, leisurely pace, the Camp Hale Tour delivers an unforgettable experience without the intensity of more advanced terrain.
A Family-Friendly Beaver Creek Snowmobile Adventure
What makes the Camp Hale Tour uniquely accessible is its flexibility. This is one of the only Beaver Creek snowmobile tours that allows children as young as 2 years of age to accompany their family on the trail. Guests also have the option to double-up and ride two people per machine, making it an ideal choice for families, couples, and first-time snowmobilers who want to share the experience.
Scenic Colorado Backcountry at 10,500 Feet
The trail system winds through some of the most picturesque terrain in the Colorado Rockies. Riders are treated to sweeping views of multiple mountain ranges as they ascend through dense forest and open meadows blanketed in snow. At 10,500 feet, the scenery is breathtaking and the riding is smooth and accessible — a perfect introduction to snowmobiling in Colorado’s backcountry.
Camp Hale, the historic departure point for this tour, served as the training ground for the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division during World War II. Today it provides a stunning and historically rich setting for one of Beaver Creek’s most beloved snowmobile experiences.
